It did make him ready to consider an offer from me, but due to money
constraints, I don't think I was able to offer him enough.  :-( 
NEVER assume your offer will be unacceptable. Making ridiculous bids has
gotten me too many deals. Most important factor seems to be your attitude,
if you appear to be making a "good faith" offer and not openly screwing the
person, many times they accept.
