Amstrad used to make monitors for the PC1512/PC1640 with the same kind
of 13-pin connector as STs used for the external floppy as the power
connector for the PC itself. Yes, the PSU for the whole outfit was in
the monitor. Yes, I had people bring in Atari STs for a new floppy
controller and sound chip.
