Over in the great Metric Brotherhood, how many eggs
are in a carton?
Half a dozen in a small box, a dozen in a medium box, two dozen in a
large box and 48 if you buy by the tray (IIRC). The 48-egg trays aren't
often seen outside of farmer's markets and bakeries IME, 6/12-egg boxes
are the norm for your average street-corner off-license or supermarket.
