Just a standard ASR-33.
That's too bad, a 35ASR would look far nicer with that rack and that
8/L. Then again, moving a 35ASR is an entirely different story.
Yep, was not planning on using the WD-40 on the
Teletype :). I've done some
tinkering on one before, but no actual restoration work, however I've done a
bit of maintenance on typewriters in the past. Everything seems to be in
order; after giving the works a visual inspection I fired it up and it
appears to work fine. Of course, it'll need a complete going over before I
put it to actual use.
BitSavers has the relevant technical bulletins (bulletin 273B). And
Dave Gesswein has the DEC LT33 modification documents on his site.
Any further Teletype help can be acquired on the Greenkeys mailing list.
Probably still better than the keyboard on the
ASR-33...
With a vision impairment, a real keyboard of any form is significantly
better then a touchscreen. Also, touch typing on a touchscreen isn't
excatly possible.
