The reliability was terrible with this drive... had
MANY over the years,
basically if you kept the same cartridge in the drive, kept it running most
of the time, and did not swap them with other drives, it would work ok...
but reliable???
IIRC that was a CDC drive rebadged and interfaced to a DEC
controller...
It looked good but was fragile as hell in real life.
DEC customers liked more solid stuff...
