Because! That's why! Glad that someone else can
appreciate the importance of "Because!".
Actually, I was using it for several actual useful
things, including a
file server. Unfortunately, those aren't A5200's, I was never able to
find those. They're straight A5000's, so, only 14 disks per chassis.
But, I have replaced all the original disks in all three chassis with
147GB 10K RPM drives. Makes for a non-trivial chunk of storage. Not to
mention a really cool ominous humming noise that can be heard through
the floor.
Heh, I was just playing Devil's Advocate. Ian has seen my basement and
garage and can hopefully testify to my membership in the "just because.."
club :-).
