Nope, I had hoped it would be the same, but it isn;'t :( I had a bunch of
old mac ram floating around, and none of it was liked my the sparc 5.....
That's because PowerMac DIMMs are non-parity. The SS5 uses parity memory
(albeit one bit per 32-bit word, for 66-bit--wide DIMMs, instead of the
more usual arrangement of one parity bit per 8-bit byte, for 72-bit--wide
DIMMs).
