Screen rot is repairable, at least in many cases (I do not
know about the VR201 specifically). So even with screen rot, I'd still
like to find one!
What is "screen rot" defined as in this case?
It seems that some adhesives used to bind the implosion protection sheet
over the face of the CRT decompose and/or have mold grow on them (or
something along those lines) over time. Some people have had good luck
repairing them. I have a few in that state, but haven't attempted a repair yet.
Ahhh. Seems like it'd be fairly repairable with enough care if that's the
case/you're extremely determined.
