Thanks, I will contact him. I see he is doing it with an FPGA. That was my
first thought, but I think a microcontroller would be more flexible, if I
could find one that is fast enough and affordable.
I think you underestimate the FPGA,as I said the other night you can
always implement an embedded CPU in the FPGA. Alternatively you could
use something like the Elektor FPGA board
with embedded CPU but I am not sure this is fast enough, or has enough
capacity in the FPGA as its a cut-down starter kit...
