They're ready-made boards that aren't in an application specific
chassis. :)
I have no issue with those. They're more "general-purpose
microcontroller boards". I'm complaining about people using
*development* boards for stuff like that. Development boards
typically have a lot more onboard peripherals and such. Stuff like
the Olimex LPC development boards, for example.
