  I'm highjacking this thread.  I'm debating
starting a museum locally,
 as we don't have anything like this in the Indianapolis area. 
I have had people tell me I should start a museum, usually after
they've done a walkthrough through my place and seen the computers I
have on hand.  I saw one message in this thread say there's a
difference between a museum and an exhibition of a personal collection,
so, in addition to JK's questions, I'd also be interested to know what
that difference is; it's possible the latter is closer to what those
people have meant.
I'd also be interested in any advice for someone contemplating either.
I don't know whether either one is something I want to do, but I'd like
to at least learn enough to figure out whether they are.
