But there's nonetheless an important difference,
namely the oxide cathode.
Tubes in digital applications may be cut off for an extended period of
time, i.e. there is no cathode current.
I am not sure now what you are trying to point out - the tubes used in
computers and the tubes used in some radar applications see exactly
the same behavior.
And yes, I know about the differences in construction.
