Over here they
are often listed as 'FCC68' connectors. I am not sure what
FCC regualtions part 68 actually specifies, but I assume that's where the
name comes from.
Fascinating... that's probably the most useless specification I've
seen in a while, considering that most Europeans have no need to
know a damned thing about FCC regulations.
Well, presuambly you have to know the German standrds when you want to
order DIN41612 conenctors for VME or Nubus boards :-)
How you you order a 5 contact plug as used on a UK Preset set? To us it's
a GPO Plug 505. I have never seen it called anything else. SHould you
have to know the part numbers used by the British post office back when
they ran the telephone system?
More seriosuly, I have no idea what FCC part 68 covers (anyone?). And I
certainly don't like the name. I am simply pointing out that they are
sometimes called 'FCC68' connectors over here, it's a possible search term
if nothing else will find what you need.
