I have exactly this problem on a much older scale. I have a
Floating Point Systems AP-180V, which connects to a card in a
VAX-11/750. The AP-180V and the 11/750 went their own separate ways
when the system was decommissioned, and of course the completely
unobtainable interface card stayed in the 11/750.
