Subject: DECServer 90L+ startup help
I have a pair (3 actually) of the above terminal servers - I have them
cabled up, yet the two I have connected seem not to play well together...
the remote terminal (a VT220) displays :
>XDS90L-321, Connection Not Established - Network Not Connected
Have you got a proper thinwire segment between all of them? The one thing
that always caught my customers out was the end connections MUST be t-pieces
with 50 ohm terminators, even on the servers. If you've got a DS90 on its
own it must have a t-piece with 2 terminators on its thinwire port, even if
its the stackable module. DS90L+'s are dumb enough not to require anything
else.
cheers
