I've got one of those too (along with their PAL programmer from around the
same time) and it won't work in anything newer than an XT. :-(
Sounds about right (without dragging it out and looking at it). One
of the first purchases I made after purchasing a PC and monitor. The
next box was a Taiwanese XT clone with carefully cloned PC ROM
BIOS+BASIC in it. None of that "compatible" stuff for me!
