Is her display one of the translucent CRT Apple Studio
Displays? The
17" one has a nasty design flaw where a lot of them will start pinging
and flashing and eventually fail outright. I have one and would like
to fix it, because it's an otherwise decent monitor, but I don't know
where I'd go about finding a replacement flyback (nor even if that's
the issue). In any case, be aware of it if that's the monitor she
has; if it's an LCD or if it's not the Studio Display, then never
mind.
Dave, maybe I can help you finding the flyback, do you have the original
flyback number?
