RD52 is the quantum D540 and the 53 is the Micropolos 1325.
You can also use the ST225 (20mb) as a RD31 as well as ST512 (10mb).
Yes, that St506 is the general MFM pattern drive interface.
The alternate for Qbus PDP-11 or microVAX is one of the SCSI boards.
Any board that does MSCP to media(any media) will work.
