Huh? If I call my coworker a moron and then say I as speaking "figuratively",
it doesn't change the fact that I called him a moron.
There is nothing wrong with the statement
"When you're broke, you pirate."
There is nothing wrong with it except that it is a blanket statement and isn't
true. Most people, when broke, do without.
