Oh? I've worked on lots of those, and don't remember anything of the
sort...
I've seen it in a couple of them, and the guy I used to know who did a
lot of organ repairs said it was pretty common.
I did a lot of organ repair too, from around 1975-85 or thereabouts, and
that included a fair number of old Hammonds, and I don't recall ever bumping
into that. <shrug>
