The old GE machines with the "Thousands of
Operations Per Second"
analogue meters were kind of neat too.
Hitachi AS/6s have an analog meter, with a switch to select processor
speed, channel speed, and several other parameters. In true mainframe
spirit, they also included a calibrate function.
