The 8035 is a mask rom part but that doesn't mean
it can't be used. If you don't need all the I/O, there
is a pin that can be tied and you can add external
EPROM with a latch chip ( forget '374 of '373 but
it needs to be the latch, not the edge triggered flop ).
These were used on the Franklin keyboards.
I recall modifying a ROM for it so I could get a control @
from the keyboard.
If you really needed all the
I/O, there is a way to multiplex
the bus or just use a 8748 instead.

Subject: Anyone need an Intel 8035? (MCS-48)
From: b4 at

Evening all,
I recently parted out an old electric organ which had a too-far-gone electrical system
for me to repair it. I now have some spare micro controllers and misc. ICs I have no idea
what to do with.
Anyone need an Intel 8035 or have any ideas what I could do with one? I?d know what I?d
do if ti were z80 compatible, but it unfortunately is no.
