How big (approximately) are these tapered pins, length, diamter at the
'big end', diameter at the 'small end'. Are they just plain tapered pins
(i.e. no spring contacts on the sides or anything).
I am wondering how hard it would be to make some from brass rod....

I assume you are talking about the DEC logic trainer? If you talking of
the
CDC trainer, I have a couple of old chasses loaded with wires and buggies
that I use for repair. Even have some NOS wires and buggies.
