a reboot of the DNS server in this case.
Actually, in this case, it was even easier to fix. My server for some
reason had been physically turned off!
Kinda hard to resolve the DNS when the machine is powered off...
It could have been as simple as some accidentally doing a "shutdown -h"
instead of a "shutdown -r"....
