The power supply in that photo caused quite a stir in

The consensus was that going the wall-wart route isn't wise.
Apparently that "custom designed power supply" lasted something like a whole
three hours? That may have some bearing on it. I've seen very few wall
warts that are rated high enough in terms of output current, for the most
part.
