A local auctionsite yielded me a dead hp85 for 1$.
The error was quickly identified : the internal flatcables were badly aligned and shorted
out several lines.
The machine is now functional, but still suffers from bad contacts. I might resolve to
soldering some wires instead of the offending flatcables.
Of course tapedrive and printer need to be rebuild : any source for small quantities of
these belts in Europe ?
