They do exist...I have a couple of subsystems here which have Exabyte drives
in them (unmodified, regular SCSI drives) with bridge boards which go to SDI
connectors on the other side. I've never fired them up but I plan to someday.
I don't recall who made them but I'll look at them more closely the next time
I'm in the warehouse where they're stored.
