I knew someone that ran 11/40s with PR02s and 3s. I found a few quniverters
for him and he put the RP drives on an 11/23. pretty funny if you think
about it.
The inverters are still out there.

Hi ALL,
I see many peoples these days want to build own pdp-11 (this is kinda
obsession). This trend results in rise of prices on qbus hardware. The cpu,
slu and memory boards are still affordable, BUT storage adapters/drives
prices gone mad (probably forever). I know, there are some relatively cheap
DSSI adapters for the QBUS-vax
machines, they emulate MSCP. So, once being configured on vax processor,
they hypothetically could be used on pdp-11. Also, there are some
DSSI->SCSI converters.
Is it possible to create and configure QBUS DSSI->SCSI (50pin) HDD
solution for use with pdp-11 processor? (What type of QBUS backplane
needed? PMI (CD-interconnect) capable KDJ11 processor? or dual height KDF11
card with simple Q22 would work also?)
I wonder what OTHER options are really exist?
p.s. I know about floppy and tu58 emulators, but those can not replace
usual pdp-11 disk storage in terms of speed/capacity (in case of hacked
drivers for high volumes you are losing compatibility).
