True, NetBSD would talk to it, but it would require NetBSD
running on a uVAX II so the drive could be plugged in. I
certainly don't have the patience to run NetBSD on a uVAX II,
a wouldn't recommend anyone else do the same. Unfortunately,
NetBSD (and FreeBSD) is rapidly becoming unusable on old
hardware...

NetBSD should be able to handle the 4.2BSD FFS of Ultrix.
At least it is worth a try if booting the Ultix/VAX to single
