I can honestly claim that the closest thing to an IDE that I've ever
used for any language was the "Electric C" extension for emacs. And
even then, I didn't use it for long. It just got in the way.
I'm right there with you. I've tried a few IDEs...some are kinda
nice, but they definitely get in the way.
