There was something to be said for the crispness of a good high-res B&W monitor
where the resolution was limited more by the video bandwidth, rather than the
physical tri-color-grid of colour monitors.
When everything started going colour in the early 90's it occurred to me to
hold onto a couple of larger B&W monitors as they went out of style, for
working on text and schematics and such, but I never did get any.
