35yr.old solder is not easy to fake
I could make some by mixing in some 20 year old solder with my 100
year old solder...
It's not only the substance which defines the age, but also the timespan
in which solder is exposed to the elements and subsequently degrades. I
can look at 40yr.old solder that somebody put on a fake circuit card
that's only 1yr.old and know it's not 40yr.old solder on a 40yr.old
circuit card.
