Having been involved in CD mastering back in 1992 and 1993,
and having used a number of CD mastering programs, I knew
that detail would be crucial and perhaps unavailable. It's
the sort of detail that was only available in higher-end
programs for a long time. They knew it would only be needed
by people who wanted to improve access times - say by a
game maker who wanted to preload a bunch of data.
