NEXTSTEP and the NeXT workstation was "intended" to sweep all before it.
Including SunOS, Sun and other proprietary Unix workstations. It
probably deserved to. Imagine if it had succeeded :)
For one thing, we wouldn't have Macs anymore, just NeXT workstations.
