Unsurprising. I'm on the Suns-at-Home list, and anything that has a
32-bit SPARC processor is very hard to find homes for.
Really? I'd happily give 32-bit SPARC gear a home. I like esoteric,
though and I think these quality.
Maybe the SPARC1 is old enough to have achieved
"classic" status, and
*maybe* the SPARC2, and ov course, anything with a Motorola processor
will be snatched up (I don't "need" a Sun 3/80 (I have a Sun 3/60 to
restore - need to build a Sun4 keyboard/mouse adapter) but I wouldn't
want to let one get scrapped). There's not a lot of interest
presently in Sun3 and Sun4 stuff, but there's far less for the SPARC
gear. Maybe in a few years after folks have recycled closet after
closet of it and it starts getting scarce, but not right now.
