It sounds like it will work for me. I have a lot of programs that I wrote
for FPC ( an older 16 bit Forth ). Many time I do access parallel ports
and serial ports directly. I was wondering what problems it might have.
I don't do anything but text to the screen, usually.
There is a WIN32Forth but it is slightly different and would require
a lot of fixing for non-standard words ( that I tend to use a lot ).

I have to confess to using DOSEMU instead of DOSBOX. It integrates better
with Linux, and will run 16- and 32-bit PM applications. The latest
versions are much, much better than the older ones.
FWIW, I'm not interested in DOS gaming.
That was my question about DOSEMU vs DOSBOX. I've only ever used
DOSBOX for DOS gaming, and it seems fine. If DOSEMU is great for
console applications but doesn't do well with graphics or sound, I'll probably
stick with DOSBOX.
