My room keeps enough set up for me to work on (a PDP-8, a dozen VAXen, pc
stuff.) However I'm working toward a 'fast access' storage system whereby
systems are packed up for storage in such a way that they can be retrieved,
activated/used, re-archived fairly quickly and smoothly. That way I can
switch active systems easily. The process consists of "blueprinting" the
system by documenting its configuration (hardware and software) thoroughly
and then packing it together as a unit.
