I'm not certain about the Mono signal, but I have had good success
with the Samsung 191T on older Sun systems, adapted with a 13W3<->VGA
cable. There is also the slightly harder to find (although there are
some on ebay at the moment) Sun-badged version, the x7144. Besides a
silver rather than black shell, I believe the Sun version has
different firmware that correctly reports (they both correctly
display) the odd Sun console resolution.
