That might work in some cases for API ugliness.
It can't help when the toolkit imposes UI policy and that policy is
what I can't stand. (As a really simple example, it's damn near
impossible to get some things out of reverse video; I find large bright
areas of screen real estate to be incompatible with extended use.)
