kaput? Huh! I mean there are no more left on planet
earth. Would you then do the above there with the
whatever you got thing there?? Hmm?
Seems unlikely that the whole machine would fail catastrophically in a
way that would leave you a case to mount the motherboard in.
I'd be inclined to just repair the old machine. If there was a bit that
I couldn't get, I'd make a replacement. If the replacement turned out
to need to be an FPGA and some appropriate interface, so be it.
