I'm relatively sure the track alignment is the same
as the 1.44. You should be able to use a 1.44M alignment
disk.
You won't be able to do a write/read test but you can use
a 720K disk for that.

They're not cheap.
Maybe not for hobbists, but I wouldn't mind paying $65 in an analog
alignment diskette for 720K 3 1/2" use.
I still have many 720k drives around, some HP gear uses them :)
