I wonder when the Philips P800 architecture was
desinged. IIRC the P850
was first sold in 1970, so presumably the design is the end-of-the-60's.
That architecture was implemented in simple TTL (P850, P855), in Philips'
own itslice chips (SPALU -- Scratch Pad and Artihmetic Logic Unit, in the
P851), AMD2900 bitslice (P854) and I don't know if it was ever sold, but
I seem to have a single-chip LSI version of it too (P853???).

I found a web link here, but this is the first time I have heard of a P800.
