And that's not even half of a fully-qualified VMS filename!
NODE::DDnn:[dir.subdir.subdir...]filename.extension;version
It cares even less about abstraction than Windows, but it still
manages to be nice anyway.
Given how cheap disk space is now, I'm saddened
it's not
made a comeback.
