Well, it only takes one overzealous bidder to jack the price through the
roof, but I'd be shocked to see one go for over $200, which is typical for
SBC's of that era on ebay. The KIM's were made in pretty good quantity, I
think, and ended up at a lot of schools as trainers. That's why more than
one member of this list has a bunch of them -- find one, and you're likely
to find a dozen of its friends nearby.
You can still find relatively good deals on SBCs even on ebay. Heathkit
ET-3400's (6800 SBC's from circa 1976) typically go for under $100. And a
lot of MMD-1's just went for under $40 each. AIM65's, for some reason,
have been all over the map on ebay: from $50 to around $500.
Of course, you'd rarely pay more than $20 for any of these boards if you
know where to shop :-)
