Look at BeOS Max or BeOS DevEd. Good, fast OSes, and downloadable freely. Application
availability is somewhat on
the spotty end, though.
OS/2 (not sure about the UNIX environment) doesn't come with headers/compilers, and
IBM doesn't sell the devel
kit anymore (and it was very pricy when they did). I think you can get StarOffice,
though.
