My wife's grandfather owned a 1956 Buick Roadmaster, fire-engine red
with very low milage. I would look at in his garage, ('bout 1968) but
he hadn't driven it for years.
When he died, my wife's father got the car and drove it to his house,
a trip of about 40 miles, and parked it in front of his house. The
next morning, there were numerous puddles of various liquids on the
ground. Every seal, gasket, or whatever, was shot! The car died from
lack of use.
