I don't know about PAL but one line for NTSC is
only 63us and thats
not enough delay.
The European PAL B/G/I standard has a 64us line time. The PAL delay line
time is a little less than that (I would have to get the exact figure
from a service manual -- AFAIK all TV sets had the same
delay).
Computers that used delay lines were in the milliseconds range as they
needed to store a lot of bits/digit/words.
Ture. I was thinking of using said delay lines are 64 bit 'registers'
(they should easily be able to handle a 1MHz data rate), nothing more.
