Well, I doubt anybody is making 5.25" drive mechanisms any more, especially
nothing as cheap and nasty as those clunkers Commodore used, so that's your
first hurdle. For authenticity, you'd also need to machine yourself a fugly
case that's too big to fit anywhere convenient on the desk.
Which brings you to NOS parts, at which point you shouldn't have too much
difficulty sourcing the 6502 etc -- except they may well have been pulled out
of a 1541 in the first place!
