Sure, that figures. The point is that write precomp is pretty much
independent of the encoding scheme used, since you're looking at what's
coming out the encoder in all cases. I suppose one could try to apply
precompensation to FM, but it wouldn't make much sense, as there's
always (with the exception of address marks) a clock bit present.
But say, GCR and MMFM, sure.
