Where did all the scrap come from? Industrial
machines from closed up
factories? New imported steel displacing it?
Amongst many factors of the glut are the decline of the US steel industry
in general, lightweighting (ever notice that cans and bottles are just a tad
bit lighter now?), and the Soviets sold their Navy.
